Meet Dr. David Parkinson, a dedicated optometrist with a passion for helping people achieve their optimal visual potential, who has a wealth of experience in primary care optometry, ocular disease management, and advanced vision correction procedures.
Dr. David Parkinson was raised in a small farming town in Idaho before he attended and graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho. After completing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Parkinson worked as the health coordinator at Mountainland Head Start in Provo, Utah. He helped connect families whose preschool-aged children needed vision, dental, and medical health examinations with appropriate providers. He then headed to Pacific University College of Optometry, gaining competency and clinical skills, graduating Magna Cum Laude. His clinical experience has involved primary care optometry, specialty contact lenses, treatment and management of ocular disease, and care for patients desiring LASIK, PRK, intraocular contact lenses, or cataract surgery. He thoroughly enjoys working with and aiding people in achieving their best visual potential. He resides in Orem, Utah, with his wife, Tara, and their two boys.
