Devon Durant, 47, discusses his LASIK recovery after treatment at our Salt Lake City office.

MR. DEVON DURANT: My name’s Devon Durant. I’m 47 years old. Years ago, I was a basketball player at BYU. I wore contact lenses as a basketball player. After my basketball career, went to glasses. Was very comfortable with glasses till about 10 or 15 years ago. Decided I wanted to get LASIK eye surgery. And so I started shopping around, but I was still very fearful a little. And so, I’ve been doing research I think for about the last 10 to 15 years to try to find the right people. Just early in 2007, decided it was time to go ahead with it. Technology was where I wanted it to be. And I thought, you know, I had to push the fear aside. And so did my research and studied things on the Internet, and visited with Dr. Hoopes, Hoopes Vision, and found everything that I wanted there. Went ahead with the process. I had my eye surgery in June. And I’m very pleased with the results. I want to thank Dr. Hoopes and everyone that’s a part of his staff for the positive experience that I had there, and particularly for the great results that I feel I’ve received from the surgery.
