DR. PHIL HOOPES, JR.: I’m Dr. Phil Hoopes, Jr. I joined our group about two years ago, after finishing my medical training on the East coast. I’m actually returning to Utah. I graduated from BYU in 1996. After that, I went to North Carolina to do my medical training at Wake Forest University, and like the area so much I stayed to do my ophthalmology training. After four years of specialty training in eye surgery, I went to Atlanta, Georgia for one year, for a fellowship, where I learned to do cornea transplantations and LASIK surgery. In 2005, I then moved back here to Draper, with my family, where we live now with three small boys that keep us pretty busy when we’re not working here.
