Former U of U Defensive End Has LASIK at Hoopes Vision

Former University of Utah defensive end, Derrick Shelby, recently selected Hoopes Vision for his LASIK surgery procedure. Derrick came to us last month for his initial evaluation to determine whether or not he would be eligible for one of our vision correction surgeries. He was tired of having his contact lenses pop out during contact on the football field, and was anxious to free himself of the problems that poor vision can cause an athlete during play. Derrick was found to be an excellent candidate for a custom IntraLASIK procedure. He returned to our office the day after his surgery seeing 20/20. We would like to thank Derrick for trusting us with this important decision and wish him the best in his potential NFL future.
