We’re excited for our upcoming Grand Opening for our new building! On Saturday, May 18th, from 11:00AM to 2:00PM, we’re opening our doors to you! Drop by and take a tour of one of the most technologically advanced vision correction surgery facilities in the world. Our new facility is located at 11820 South State Street in Draper. Snack on some delicious hors d’oeuvres, meet local celebrities, pick up some fun door prizes, and register to win one of the two free LASIK procedures we’re giving away as part of the celebration. Our ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 11:00.

Hoopes Vision Military Moms LASIK Giveaway Video Contest

Mothers are amazing! They are caretakers, role models, and inspirations. So many of us owe so much to them, thanks to their hard work and sacrifice. This Mother’s Day, Hoopes Vision is honoring mothers at the same time we honor another group known for hard work and sacrifice: our military. We’re going to give free custom LASIK surgeries to three deserving “military moms” in the following three categories:
- ONE to the mother of an active or former member of the military
- ONE to the wife of an active member of the military (also a mother)
- ONE to an active member of the military who is herself a mother
To nominate your mom, wife, or a military mom that you know, send in a short (under 2 minutes) video describing this mother’s hard work and dedication to her family and our country, and how vision correction surgery could change her life. Be sure to specify under which category your nominee falls. Submit your entry through the contest link on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/HoopesVision). The deadline for entries is Friday May 3rd at noon. Beginning May 3rd at noon there will be one week to vote for your favorite entries, with voting ending on May 10th at noon. Winners will be announced May 10th at or about 4:00. In addition, all of the moms entered in the contest will receive a special Mother’s Day gift certificate that can be paired with our regular military discount. Additionally, Real Salt Lake will be giving each of the winners a pair of tickets to their May 25th soccer game and will be honoring them for their hard work and dedication during half-time! Hoopes Vision Night with the Utah Jazz

Monday, March 18th, was Hoopes Vision Night at the Energy Solutions Arena during the Utah Jazz/New York Knicks game. Not only was it a great night for the lucky fan who won a certificate for LASIK surgery from Hoopes Vision, but also for the fans as the Jazz battled with the Knicks until the last minute. Each year we look forward to Hoopes Vision Night as an opportunity for us to give a free LASIK surgery to one lucky Jazz fan. This year four couples competed in an on-court obstacle course and layup contest while wearing vision-impairing goggles. Danielle and Dylan were our lucky winning couple, walking away with a certificate for complimentary blade-free custom LASIK surgery from Hoopes Vision. Dr. Phillip C. Hoopes, Jr., MD, recently performed the first of many to come cataract operations in our brand-new outpatient surgery center, EyeSurg of Utah. This is one of the first (if not the first) surgery centers in the world designed specifically for laser cataract surgery. We currently are the only center in the world to have two cataract lasers, the Optimedica Catalys™ and the Alcon LenSx™ lasers. In addition to cataract surgery, we will also perform ICL, corneal transplants and pterygium surgeries in the surgery center. It occupies the entire north wing of the first floor of our brand-new office building which is one of the best-equipped and most technologically advanced eye surgery centers in the country. Last week, Dr. Phillip C. Hoopes, Jr., made a TV appearance on ABC 4’s Good Things Utah to discuss our brand new building and state-of-the-art LASIK and cataract surgery centers. He invited everyone to stop by for a tour of the “newest eye-surgery center in America”, and announced a special discount for LASIK or ICL surgery.
The new Hoopes Vision Correction Center is home to one of the first surgical centers in the world designed specifically for laser assisted cataract surgery, EyeSurg of Utah. This is where ICL and cataract surgeries will be performed in one of four operating rooms or the cataract specific laser room, with the newest technology available.
We want to show off our new building! We are offering a special discount to anyone who stops by to take a tour. Happy 2013! At Hoopes Vision, the New Year brought along with it some exciting new changes, including a brand new Hoopes Vision office building! We spent the holiday weekend packing, moving and setting up our new space. Having such a vast amount of vision correction technology is great – until you have to move it! We enlisted the help of Bailey’s Moving & Storage and truly appreciate the professional, service they provided. Each of our lasers and sensitive testing equipment has been moved, re-calibrated and tested by engineers sent from the manufactures. Every aspect of environment that can affect the laser performance, such as temperature and humidity, has been precisely controlled to help provide optimal results. Although we are still getting used to our new place, we are happy to have our clinic (where pre and post-operative testing takes place), our LASIK surgery center, and our clinical research department up and running. Our ambulatory surgical center, EyeSurg of Utah, where cataract surgery, ICL surgery and cornea transplant surgery takes place, should be ready in a few more weeks. Our new vision correction facility is already proving to be all that we had hoped for, allowing us to offer our patients a better experience and reduced wait times. The new Hoopes Vision will provide our patients, looking to improve their vision, a vision correction facility like no other, featuring the latest proven vision correction technology and a team of dedicated, talented surgeons and staff in a comfortable, welcoming environment. We are excited to share this new space with all of you and welcome you to stop by and check it out. We are easy to find – just east and next to I-15 at 11820 South State Street in Draper.
