Congratulations to Will R. and Sarah H.– our two winners in the Hoopes FREE LASIK Contest!

Our first ever LASIK video contest has been a great success and a lot of fun. We had nearly 100 people enter LASIK video submissions and 650 people actually registered for the contest! There was a humorous category and a serious category, and we had many great entries in each. Once the LASIK contest videos were in, they went to a panel of celebrity judges including: Jazz Bear, Kerry, Bill and Gina of X96, Rig Rog from 97.1The Blaze, and General Gridlock from Kbull. These judges helped narrow the selection down to 6 semi-finalists in each category. From there it went to popular vote allowing you to vote for your favorites.

Thanks to your votes, both Will and Sarah will receive complimentary All-Laser custom IntraLASIK from Hoopes Vision! We had over 11,000 total votes come in over a two week voting period! Sarah had the most with 1962 votes; Will Rubio was the winner in the humorous category with 1604 votes. Will Rubio’s humorous LASIK video Denial gives us a glimpse into the life of a man who could really benefit from better vision – but doesn’t realize it. Sarah’s video shows us how it is much harder dealing with glasses and contacts while working in Africa than it is here. In addition to the two winners, Dr. Hoopes decided to award LASIK surgery at 50% off for the two runner-up videos Roger Bespectacled, and a Passion for Photography. Congratulations to all our winners, and thanks to all of you for sending in such great videos.

We received a lot of votes, and had a lot of fun with the contest.
